Not on fire
I’ve been asked if my house is on fire a lot today because apparently it’s that season when LA burns right the hell away around the edges. Unfortunately I happen to live at the edge and it’s massively windy. No burning of my house yet but you will know if it happens because the nibbling flames will eventually make it through the bird cage latch and release my little DeepCrow. You will all know when this happens. Death by fire will seem a kind way to go.
To put some perspective on how far away the fire (and other dangers) are from my house I’ve included this handy map. Think of it as your guide to The Valley.

As one of those who asked you if your house was on fire, I’m pleased to learn that it is not! But I could smell the fires all the way over at the far end of Nice People territory. You have a Burning Man tested particle filter, but how is the bird holding up?
No two LA’s are not on fire? And speaking of on fire, anyone noticed Angel Island, up near my house?
I’m on the map! Well, off the map technically, in “Here Thar Be Monsters” territory, but you get the idea.
